Champion Homes Recognized by Manufactured Housing Institute for Exceptional Home Designs

Troy, Michigan – April 27, 2018 – Champion Home Builders, Inc., recently earned four awards at the 2018 Manufactured Housing Institute's (MHI) National Industry Home Design Awards for Manufactured and Modular Housing — a testament to the company’s status as an industry leader and innovator. These awards acknowledge the efforts of companies that bring remarkable homes, customer service, and solutions to the manufactured and modular home industry and, ultimately, homebuyers.

Champion earned 2018 MHI awards in the following categories:

New Modular Home Design, 1,800 sq. ft. or less: The Brooklyn, built in Strattanville, PA

The Brooklyn is a ranch designed to appeal to a broad Midwestern market. This home includes a cottage-style exterior and open-concept floor plan, as well as flexible square footage (ranging from 1,568 to 1,680 square feet) and a design that can accommodate both a garage and full basement. New Modular Home Design, over 1,800 sq. ft.: The Lakeport, built in Strattanville, PA

The Lakeport is a two-story, 4,370 square foot modular home designed with the large family in mind. The home’s striking front entrance features contrasting colors and crisp lines, the latter of which span from the roof to the colonnaded porch. New Manufactured Home Design, under 600 sq. ft.: The Heron, built in Lake City, FL

The Heron is a 499 square foot, one-bedroom, one-bath model that is distinctly elegant without sacrificing utility or top-quality amenities. Built to Wind Zone III standards, the Heron features an ample porch with composite decking and a nine-foot sidewall height with transom windows on the outside, and a living room, dining area, kitchen and cozy bedroom on the inside. New Manufactured Home Design, 1,800 sq. ft. or less: The Kingsbrook KB34, built in Corona, CA

The Kingsbrook, Contempo Series, Model KB34 is a 1,775 square foot, three-bedroom, two-bath home. Its transverse roofline is reminiscent of the California bungalow concept, while its interior offers charming and distinctive designs throughout the great room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms.
