Champion Home Builders, Inc. — a leader in the manufactured and modular home industry — was honored with three 2017 Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) National Industry Design Awards for Manufactured and Modular Housing. These awards recognize companies that contribute outstanding products, customer service, creative solutions and state-of-the-art-homes to the manufactured and modular housing industry and, ultimately, homebuyers.
The categories in which Champion was recognized include:
New Manufactured Home Design (Small Home) 320-600 S.F.: The Vista, a 499-sq.-ft. contemporary cottage series home, received the “New Manufactured Home Design (Small Home) 320-600 S.F.” award. True to its description, the Vista’s style is thoroughly modern, with a mono slope roof system, exterior spiral staircase and expansive outdoor balcony. Inside, the mono slope roof translates into kitchen and living spaces illuminated with large transom windows.
New Manufactured Home Design - 1800 S.F. or Less (Production): The Kingsbrook "Contempo Series" Model KB66, a 1,561-sq.-ft. manufactured home, won in the “New Manufactured Home Design – 1800 S.F. or Less (Production)” category. This home features a California contemporary look from its transverse gable hipped roof exterior to the clean lines of its spacious interior. An open floor plan, sophisticated kitchen and oversized master suite are a few of the Kingsbrook’s many remarkable highlights.
New Modular Multifamily or Duplex Design (Production): Tarpon Harbour, a 137,092-sq.-ft. residential duplex development, took home the “New Modular Multifamily or Duplex Design (Production)” award. This unique oceanfront property is comprised of 106 living units and is as functional as it is elegant. Each duplex, set on an eight-foot-tall concrete 16”x16” pier foundation, can withstand hurricane-force winds, as well as avoid the 100-year flood plain to remain above storm surge waters. An added bonus to this design is that residents can park their vehicles under the homes.
